Project Title: Dyadic Language Modality and Early Emotion Coregulation: A Comparative Study of Joint Attention and Emotion Coregulation Patterns in Deaf and Hearing Mother-Toddler Dyads
This study investigates how different language modalities (spoken versus signed) influence joint attention and emotion co-regulation patterns in both deaf and hearing mother-toddler dyads. The project aims to provide meaningful insights into our understanding of early multimodal communication and child development.
The research will be conducted under the supervision of our lab director, Dr. Dilay Karadöller, alongside co-advisor Dr. Zeynep Suata.
We express our sincere thanks to the METU BAP coordination unit for supporting this research. Congratulations to Nesrin and her advisors as this project begins.
