We are excited to share that our lab member, Nesrin Bulut, has successfully completed a two-month Erasmus+ research traineeship at the Multimodal Language Department of the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics in Nijmegen, Netherlands.
During her traineeship from September 1 to October 31, 2026, Nesrin conducted research on pointing behaviors in Turkish Sign Language (TİD) within deaf child–deaf interlocutor interactions, working under the guidance and mentorship of Aslı Özyürek, Paula Rubio-Fernández, and Beyza Sümer. In addition to gaining advanced methodological insights and expanding her research skills, she collaborated closely with researchers at the department and actively engaged with the Deaf community to strengthen her TİD proficiency.
We warmly congratulate Nesrin on completing this enriching international experience and look forward to seeing how these contributions enhance her ongoing work in our lab!
