We investigate the relationship between language and cognition in the course of development with a specific focus on modality differences (speech, gesture, and sign language) and on domains such as space and math. We use various methodologies such as linguistics tasks that allow for speech, gesture and sign analyses, as well as memory and eye tracking paradigms.
