I also have a keen interest in developmental psychology as well as clinical psychology, and social psychology. Right now, I am working on expanding my general psychology knowledge and exploring potential career paths. Beyond academia, I am a literature lover who loves reading and writing fiction. Additionally, I am an amateur digital artist who is deeply passionate about the arts.

In more detail, I'm curious about children's mental health changes considering the developmental challenges. I am a senior Psychology student at METU. I’m into many different fields of Psychology including Developmental, Social and Clinical. I have always had a passion for languages and literature. Thus, second language learning and exophony are two of the topics that deeply intrigue me. Outside the scope of “Language Studies” I also enjoy creating digital art and appreciating various forms of art in general.

My name is Ömer Aktaş, and I'm a psychologist who graduated from METU in 2023, enjoying his gap year and membership at the Multimodal Language & Cognitive Development Lab. Although I'm interested in and seek to research many subfields regarding psycholinguistics and cognition, my primary motivation is to prove whether there are correlations between the tendency toward crime and children's linguistics capability or the way they use the language. Also, I'm a big fan of Microglia cells.
