About me
I completed my Master's degree in Statistics at Ankara University in December 2024. My thesis focused on "Comparison of Deep Learning (Artificial Intelligence) and Statistical Methods for Sign Language Recognition." I also hold a Master's degree in Turkish Sign Language Interpreting. I graduated from Eskişehir Osmangazi University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Turkish Sign Language is my native language, and I have an interdisciplinary background spanning from engineering to sign language research. My work focuses on developing sign language recognition systems using natural language translation of Turkish Sign Language, artificial intelligence, and deep learning. I worked as a chief engineer at TRT for 13 years. Since 2025, I have been working as a researcher at Middle East Technical University (METU). I aim to use my expertise in Python programming, machine learning, and deep learning to develop technological solutions that facilitate communication for deaf individuals.
